E-invoicing mandate — Australia
A national network exists, but participation in business-to-business trade is voluntary — often alongside an obligation on public bodies to be able to receive e-invoices. Anyone who wants to invoice electronically here can; nobody has to.

Australia · ability to receive in force unverified
Federal entities must be able to receive e-invoices — there is no obligation on suppliers to send them. ⚠ A B2B mandate was expressly examined in 2020/21 and not legislated; the lever is payment terms instead: federal entities pay e-invoices within 5 calendar days, others within 20.
