E-invoicing mandate — Fiji

Alongside or instead of an invoicing obligation there is a reporting duty: turnover or transaction data go to the tax administration continuously or periodically. The invoice itself often remains free in form.

The stages over time

  1. 8/1/2024

Fiji · reporting obligation in force

⚠ This is till fiscalisation, not a structured business invoice. With the 2024/25 budget the VAT Monitoring System was brought back into operation: those covered must install and operate an accredited Electronic Fiscal Device. Fiji does not thereby prescribe an invoice format.

  2. 12/31/2025

Fiji · reporting obligation in force

Every invoice to a customer must come from the accredited device; the Sales Data Controller signs it and transmits the fiscal data to the tax authority. ⚠ The original notice named 31 December 2024 — the maintained date is 31 December 2025, and no extension notice can be found.

Businesses with more than FJD 50,000 in gross annual turnover.

  3. 12/31/2026 · in 64 days

Fiji · between businesses next deadline

Third phase, gazetted on 8 August 2025: wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers must register by 30 June 2026 and complete implementation by 31 December 2026. The older device version is switched off on the same date.

What Invoiceflair can do — Fiji

Fiji: the engine currently carries no national format of its own. Validating, viewing and converting the European formats remains available — only a country-specific mandatory format is missing.

Stated limit: Invoiceflair creates, validates and reads formats. It is not a Peppol access point and not a clearing service — it does not perform transmission to an authority's platform.
