E-invoicing mandate — Hungary

Alongside or instead of an invoicing obligation there is a reporting duty: turnover or transaction data go to the tax administration continuously or periodically. The invoice itself often remains free in form.

Hungary · reporting obligation in force

⚠ This is a reporting duty, not a form requirement. The tax administration says so itself: an invoice may still be issued on a printed form and by hand. The only obligation is that the invoice data go to the authority as XML immediately after issue. Hungary has no e-invoicing mandate.
