E-invoicing mandate — Oman

The format is prescribed, the route is not: the invoice must be structured, but which channel carries it to the recipient is left to the parties. A format tool is sufficient here as well.

The stages over time

Oman · between businesses in force

Oman runs a 5-corner model: accredited service providers exchange the invoice between issuer and recipient and report the tax data to the authority; XML is mandatory, and in business-to-business traffic in real time. ⚠ The e-invoicing regulation has not yet been issued, and on one of its own pages the authority calls the first wave a pilot — the dates come from its FAQ.

Threshold: one hundred individually selected large VAT-registered companies.

What Invoiceflair can do — Oman

Oman: the engine currently carries no national format of its own. Validating, viewing and converting the European formats remains available — only a country-specific mandatory format is missing.

Stated limit: Invoiceflair creates, validates and reads formats. It is not a Peppol access point and not a clearing service — it does not perform transmission to an authority's platform.
